Well if it fell straight from space it would burn up in the earth atmosphere. Unless they have a new heat proof case lol.

At 100,000 feet a person needs a space suit pretty much, but I don't think there's reentry heat like coming from space. Still, I'd think that at a temperature of around -40 degrees C/F, it would have broken, unless it was insulated somehow...

Well thats how I found the video. I was looking up latest news on Area 51 and that video came up lol.

I wonder if the result would have been the same if the ipad landed face down on a rock.
the case is designed to protect it if it falls on a relatively flat surface, but one pointed rock...
